Noniin,
Its time for another annual trip, this time to Italy. The idea is to go to Dolomites and just ski there in those lovely loong slopes. Can't wait the pretty alpine views and nice slopes. However, im not waiting Italy itself. My humble opinion is that they are morons, irresponsible, tax avoiding people. And because of that, they are in financial troubles.
Well, I hope I can adjust this opinion after the trip. Plane is taking off tomorrow morning around 7am and today there was a strike in Berlin airport. So, hope that commies are wroking hard tomorrow again.

Damn good set
So, this trip was all about for one thing. To get the car to the Nordschleife and back in one peace. and O'h boy what a road trip we had. I would not change away a single day or driven kilometers. Of course you might read our whining about some certain country but thats one part of the road trip. To go and do something you have never done, its not always nice, instead it could be surprising or total what the fuck butt rape. Nice, funny, surprising, wtf moments, All the same; good memories.
Thanks to Jari about the trip, it is sometimes hard to find proper company for this kinda trip but have to say now it worked very well.
Top moments for me was of course the ring, and also this awesome visit to the wine yard. Somehow one moment has stayed in my mind. It happend in Flensburg where we were having our noon coffee there before entering to Denmark. In the gas station, one guy was filling his lorry, paid the petrol and went to lorry's cabin. The lorry didn't start. He tried again, nothing. Then he started to yell to the lorry and hit very hard to the steering wheel. I almost died after seeing this, laughed like hell and guess what, after this big ass slam, the lorry started. It was like from some stupid movie the whole thing. Yea, seems not a big thing, but if you have a lot of these, you have a nice story there.
And one thing this journey clearly clarified: Not gonna ever drive motorcycle license.

Hi!
So, as you can guess, the night in this Hostel was horrible. The barrack was so poorly sound proofed that no other. Every single idiot walking in and out woke me up of course. So, I was more than happy when my alarm clock woke me up 5:30am. Gears up and on the road! After passing the border, pretty sun was rising and I had 650km to complete after Stockholm. Like I wrote earlier, driving through sweden was boring but have to correct that a bit, it was actually pretty nice to drive with steady pace of 110km on those very good motorways of sweden.
Shit was smelling from the farms and the major time the road was almost empty. Few breaks on the way and after 1pm I was at Stockholm. Tried to get a ticket to Helsinki ferry but it was booked. I had already Turku ticket so that was the only choice. At least I had some time to walk into town, chill there in that beautiful and warm summer day. Tip of the day: Go to the stockholm if you want to see pretty city, forget the Copenhagen.
In some point the ferry arrived and I had ticket only to the boat, so no cabin this time. Never travelled without cabin and now I have done it twice, the first and the last time. It was total pain. I read some magazine on the boat and around 1am tried to get some sleep on the wall. It was cold and uncomfortable and I woke up like every 30min. After 5 I decided that enough is enough, not gonna try anymore and there was some other passenger also awake. So I took a chance to have an early talk. So the 2h went and it was time to say hello to Turku.
Turku was Turku. Never Liked the place, dont know why but maybe its the common finnish attitude against that city. It felt that the motorway never starts, while I was driving through the city and when it started, it was 80kmh limits, mostly because the road was in very, I mean very shitty condition. The last 150km of this road trip was nasty; it was raining like hell, in some point I couldn't drive more than 60kmh because lack of visibility. In any case, I was at home around 11am. Done.

Omfg Denmark, again 19.7.2011
Alright, so Denmark is the shit country between sweden and germany and probably it is wealth because they rip off tourists crossing the damn country. At least from border to border it is only around 300km so in best case scenario, you can pass it under four hours through motorway. Of course the minimum Denmark fee is 30e + 40e. That includes two bridge fees and only way to avoid them, is to fly over the country, which is very recommendable way to solve this problem. However, if you have heard stories that Copenhagen is very pretty place that its one must see place, and because of that your trip plan is somehow binded to Copenhagen (Jari will take a plane from here to Finland this wednesday), you are doomed.
Ok, back to road trip.. So we drove the 300km to Copenhagen and it was very, very boring. Absolutely nothing to see and radio channels here are only talkative, not much music on air. Yesterday we booked cheapest possible 2person accommodation from Copenhagen. Last time we took the Cabin Metro which was around 110e/night and was very crappy, you can find post about it earlier. So, we took this Danhostel Copenhagen Amager -place. One night was around 65e which sounded reasonable. The Hostel is located in same waste land than previous hotel and after awhile, we founded it.
So to the check-in and guess what. Chick asks that do we have our own bed sheets.
-"Well hell no we don't have why..?"
-"How about towels, do you have towels for your own?"
-"ää.. no.."
-"Would you like to rent bed sheets and towels?"-she asks.
-"well.. I guess we.."
-"ok, do you have our membership card?"
-"No we don't have, and we don't want to ha.."
-"Its cheaper for you to get a guest card so its only few crones more"
And after this conversation the cheap 65e per night room became to not so cheap 96e room. But
hey! At least we have fucking sheets and towels now! So, after getting the keys we were, again as usual waiting some candies on the bed but as you could expect, dear reader, we got none. Previously I was writing that was the Cabin Metro hotel a joke. No it wasn't, this place is a epic fåcken joke as you can see from the pictures. Of course now you can comment that "hey guys, stop whining, its a Hostel, it should be shitty like that". Yes. But we paid 100e from this! 30e would have been the correct amount. But thats the spirit here, in Denmark. Fricking hostell/hotell hell on god damn wasteland. Just wondering how expensive are those poshy places in the city center. I had better bed in the army for sake!
So because we were hungry, we took the metro which should have been 400meters away,
dunno what sort of ruler they used but it was around 1,5km away. Overpriced single ticket to town and searching some food. We took some Italian restaurant and the pizza was crap. And too pricey. Visa is not accepted here in every place, I somehow understand that in smaller places in Germany but in the capital city of great Denmark! Gimme a break will ya! Tons of different things to whine now but Im too tired to continue for now. Have to wake up around 5am and turn the car towards Sweden and Stockholm. There is a ferry waiting me.
One good thing about Denmark, with proper planning, you don't have to stay here even one night.
Oh btw! This place has 3 stars! Wondering how shitti is the 1 star hostel hell then..

Bye bye Germany! 19.7.2011
So, just like every journey, this one is also coming to its end. In last chapter we were in city of Kiel, which was nice place indeed. while exiting the city we visited to Kiel's canal, took few photos of it and headed to Denmark. So maybe it is time to sum the Germany. Lovely country, lovely small and medium size towns and very polite people everywhere. We really enjoyed every day there and Im sure that both of us will visit Germany again. Perhaps east Germany tour 2012? :) In any case, time to move on toward our common hate-country, Denmark. Those who does not know yet, last time when we visited this shit hole, it was totally ass rape. So let see how this second attempt goes…

Kiel 18.7.2011
Okedoke,
We selected this place called Kiel just because its near denmark border. We have had enough of
driving so far, longer sets have been 700km. For me its not a problem to drive longer trips, but for the passenger its different so today's around 400km was good set, so we dont have to drive helluva lot through Germany and Denmark. Kiel is a city with around 200 000 people living here and its a nice, pretty harbor place here in Germany. Nothing bad to say, hotel room is big and comfortable, hotel itself is nice, it has even sauna which we test drived with Jari. Well. The kiuas was pretty lousy but I guess it was ok what comes to german standards. Bought few bottles of german red wine and stuff.
Oh! and guess what!:) The wine farmer sent me an email with greetings and one beautiful picture of the wine yards, Ill share it with you now:) Love that place, gonna order some proper white wines from them for sure:)

Köln and Münster
16.-18.7.2011
Köln
Alright, I have been day or two late in these blog updates but Ill try to take the gap back now. So In latest post we were in the wine farm.. So, after the lovely town at Mosel, we took our map on the car bonnet and decided to go to Köln. First big city of the road trip. Roof off and steady pace to Köln then. weather was ok, bit cloudy and we kept ok speed for the whole trip. Not much to tell, lunch in McDonalds and then to the hotel which was located bit side of the Köln, at least there was a train station near so we could get in and head into the town. The Hotel was cheap, around 55e for a night. Not much to tell about Köln. Of course the cathedral was very big and impressive, beautiful also but we were kind a, well, not satisfied about the place. Too big, too much crowd, just like any other big city on europe. So after few hours, back to hotel to get sleep. thats all about Köln.
Münster
Next day, which was rainy and cloudy, we decided to move only a bit to north direction, let say only 150km, into town called Münster. We took this town only because it had cheaper hotels than our other option, 50km further place called Osnabrück. But oh´boy it was a nice place. The hotel room was awesome (pics later) and the city was very pretty. Size of the city was, Id say something like Tampere in finland. We thought a moment to go to catholic service but then decided to for a beer instead nearby. So, there we were, chilling and relaxing with beer, watching the pretty evening and talking every sort of bullshit that evening. Last bus to the hotel went (20:30) so we took a cab back to hotel instead of trying to get there with nigh busses. Well, the taxi was as expensive than two bus ticks so not bad.
Münster was actually so nice place to be that I was thinking should we stay there another night but no, next day we left this pretty city and booked a hotel from place called Kiel, which is near Lübeck. This place is going to be the last city in germany, in this trip.
